We’re a busy bunch here at Oakfield Lee.

When I’m not helping you and my other clients achieve their financial goals, I’m studying for exams, managing the day-to-day running of a fast-moving business, or getting out into the community to meet you all in person.

Many of you probably don’t know what goes on behind the scenes, which brings us to this, our first in an ongoing series of Oakfield Lee business updates.

Each quarter, you can read about our commitment to furthering knowledge, improving the service we offer, and supporting the community in Melksham and beyond.

So, grab a cuppa, settle in, and discover what we’ve been up to.

Oakfield Lee has moved… but not far!

For those of you who visited our former office, you’ll know that the set-up was comfortable but lacking in privacy. I appreciate how off-putting that could be when discussing personal matters like money and life goals.

That’s one of the reasons why we said goodbye to our old home. We’ve now moved, but don’t worry, we haven’t gone far. Just two doors down, in fact, from unit 5 to unit 7!

Our sparkly new-build comes complete with a dedicated office space, meeting room, kitchen, and a ground-floor breakout area for those who’d find it challenging to tackle the stairs.

We’re all settled in, and I look forward to welcoming you into our new home in the coming weeks and months.

A visit to London’s Westminster Hall for a belated graduation ceremony

I began my career in financial services back in 2014. Since then, I’ve continually expanded my knowledge, studying for and completing exams to ensure I stay up to date and provide you with the most suitable advice.

Last year, I reached a career milestone and gained Chartered status from the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII), the gold standard of my profession. On 17 October, I had the chance to celebrate my hard work.

I joined a cohort of finance professionals at London’s Westminster Hall for a formal graduation ceremony in the shadow of Westminster Abbey. It was great to spend time with like-minded advisers and planners, who all understood the dedication it takes to become Chartered.

And, of course, my achievement is good news for you too.

It gives you peace of mind that your money is in the safe hands of a business committed to the highest standards of professionalism and ethics.

Oakfield Lee proudly sponsored the Melksham Food and River Festival 2025

Across the weekend of 30 to 31 August, the Melksham Food and River Festival celebrated its 10th anniversary, and Oakfield Lee was proud to attend and sponsor this much-loved local event.

It was also wonderful to see so many of you there, enjoying the festivities.

We set up our stall alongside local food and drink producers and community groups, relishing the opportunity to talk to you all in person, book meetings, and give away our hand-picked luxury hamper to one lucky winner.

Our place within the community is integral to who we are as a business, and the festival is a great showcase of what can be achieved when we all come together.

Roll on next year!
